Tyler, Tx — Authorities are working to identify a man who ran from a Tyler business with their cash register over the weekend.

On Saturday, at around 4:15p.m., police responded to the Just a $1.00 store, located on the 2200 block of W. Gentry, on reports of a robbery.

An employee told officers that a man had entered the store and walked around the store before snatching the cash register. The robber ran out of the door with the register and hopped in a truck.

The thief is described as a black man in his late 70s or early 80s. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a short-bed Chevy pickup that is a two tone tan and brown color.
