CNN — Like father...like son?
Former Congressman Ron Paul is not a stranger to the race to the White House.
In fact, Ron Paul has run for president several times.
Now there is speculation that his son, Republican Senator Rand Paul, from Kentucky, may be considering to enter a presidential bid of his own.
Rand Paul says that it's definitely part of the debate. And that he thinks that the county is suffering right now.
He still doesn't know if he wants to run for president, but says that he does know that the county is suffering with unemployment, stagnation, and he wonders if the United States is dipping into another recession.
"The party needs something new to grow, and I want to be part of that," said Rand Paul.
Rand Paul was named the winner at last week's presidential straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
The straw poll is considered one way to gage where the conservative base stands on potential Republican nominees.
