Princeton man arrested on drug charges
Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Princeton man was arrested Monday afternoon for cultivation of marijuana, the carrying of weapons with a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Steven Joe Piper, 50, of the 100 block of Piper Circle, was taken into custody after Bossier Sheriff’s deputies received a tip that Piper had marijuana growing in and around his house.
He had several pots inside his bedroom containing marijuana plants in different and unsuccessful stages of growing, along with several bags of marijuana seeds, scales, baggies, rolling papers and dugouts.
Piper also had several firearms in two different rooms where marijuana and drug paraphernalia were present.
Piper was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
