TYLER - It's election season and political ads are showing up everywhere, and in Cherokee County it's no different. In the race for county judge, the battle is between incumbent Chris Davis and Marlene Jowell.

Thursday, Jowell filed a complaint with the Texas Ethics Commission on Davis because of ads in two local papers. The problem, the sticker doesn't say "political ad paid for by Chris Davis." Davis says it was a simple mistake, but Jowell says Davis should know better. The Texas Ethics Commission, the company Jowell filed the complaint with, said they cannot confirm the status of the complaint until it has gone through processing.
