Police: 2 intoxicated men arrested outside hospital, 1 harrases worker

Two men were arrested for public intoxication in the Lufkin hospital's parking lot Tuesday. One of the men also allegedly tried to grab a woman who works there.

Around 3:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the scene on reports of an intoxicated man who was harassing an employee. When authorities arrived, they found Eddie L Canada, Jr., 22, of Diboll in custody. Security personnel had detained him after he attempted grab a woman who works at the hospital.

According to the Lufkin Police Department, Canada was arrested and charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

Police believe his cigarette contained a substance that was identified as phencyclidine (PCP).

A second incident occurred later that day. At around 10:40 p.m., security workers reported they had in their custody an intoxicated man they found in the hospital parking lot.

Once law enforcement arrived at the hospital, Dale Robinson, 25, of Lufkin, was turned over to police.

Robinson was arrested for public intoxication and two outstanding Lufkin warrants.
