PCP found during Rusk County traffic stop

On Tuesday, August 14, approximately 10:15pm, Rusk County Sheriff’s Office  K9 Deputy, Jason Smith and Certified Narcotic Dog, Caro discovered Phencyclindine (PCP) during a traffic stop on Hwy 59 North, in Rusk County.

Deputy Smith arrested suspects Crayton Lytrone Davis, 33, of Houston and Marcus Marquis Armstard, 33, of Monroe, Louisiana after he located a plastic bottle containing approximately 12 oz of suspected PCP in the console of the vehicle. The street value of the PCP was estimated at approximately $10,000. Both suspects were transported to the Rusk County Justice Center.

Armstard also had an active warrant out of Nacogdoches County for Possession of Marijuana.

Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Joe Sorrells charged both suspects with Possession of Controlled Substance, a first degree felony, and both bonds were set at $50,000.

Both suspects remain in the Rusk County Justice Center.
