Southwood Drive has re-opened, according to Lufkin police.
LUFKIN — Lufkin Police say one is dead after a train hit a vehicle overnight.
The wreck happened at about 4:00 am Wednesday at the train crossing in the 3400 block of Southwood Drive.
Police say one man was inside the vehicle when the train struck it. His name has not been released.
The vehicle was pushed about 2/10ths of a mile from the intersection where the collision happened.
A crane is being used to lift the vehicle from the tracks so it can be removed from the road. The 3000 to 400- blocks of Southwood Dr. will be closed for at least an hour while the scene is cleared.

Investigators are still on scene and expect to have the 3000 to 4000 blocks of Southwood Drive closed for at least another hour while a crane moves the vehicle from the train tracks.
