Gregg County, Tx (Fox 51) — A man was killed Friday morning following a one-vehicle crash on I-20 in Gregg County.

At 9:30 a.m., dispatchers were alerted to a wreck at mile marker 591 on I-20 W near FM 2087. When troopers arrived, they found a truck that had run off the road and hit a tree.

The driver of the pickup, Justin Schattel, 25, was pronounced dead. His hometown is unknown at this time.

Authorities believe the crash was caused by Schattel driving at an unsafe speed.

Traffic is currently moving at a normal flow.
