Officials identify Longview man hit by train

On December 28, 2010 at approximately 5:44 A.M., officers responded to a call of a pedestrian that had been struck by an oncoming train on the tracks located between Green Street and Fredonia Street. When officers arrived they located an unidentified male who was dead. A witness said the victim was walking down the railroad tracks waving at the train as it came towards him. He was ultimately struck and killed by the train.

Longview Police have identified the individual as 38-year-old Sean Lee Holloman of Longview.

LONGVIEW, TX --- A man who was hit and killed by a train early this morning in Longview was seen walking down the tracks moments before being hit.

According to a press release from the Longview Police Department a witness says the unidentified man was waving at the train as it approached him on the tracks between Green Street and Fredonia Street in downtown Longview.

An autopsy was ordered by Judge Sam Lawson.


Longview Police confirm a pedestrian was killed by a train early Tuesday morning.

Officer Kristie Brian says that it happened on the road behind the Longview News-Journal around 5:30 am.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The ID of the victim has not yet been released, but KFXK will keep you updated as information comes in.
