WILLS POINT - A neighbor's quick call to authorities leads to the arrests of two copper thieves Thursday.

Van Zandt County Sheriff's officials say someone called them to report two men stealing copper and putting it into a pickup truck. A Department of Public Safety trooper spotted the vehicle outside Wills Point, and pulled the driver over.

The trooper then arrested 26-year-old Brandon Donihoo and 24-year-old Nathan Pruitt. The deputy found the two men had taken several rolls of copper and aluminum cans from someone's property. Both men were arrested for copper theft, and were taken to the Van Zandt County Justice Center. During arraignment, their bond was set at $5,000.
