Nacogdoches officials searching for meat thief

NACOGDOCHES — Officials with the Nacogdoches Police Department tell KETK, a man reportedly stole several packages of meat from a local grocery store.

It happened around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Save-A-Lot foods on the 1400 block of North St.

Officials say a female employee spotted a middle aged black man stuffing the meat into his clothes. When he left the store, the woman says he pushed her against the door frame and ran away.

The employee did not suffer any major injuries.

No word on how much meat was taken, or the value of the merchandise.

The incident is still under investigation.
