A large, well-organized criminal enterprise is exactly what the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies have been working for more than a year to dismantle.
This week, they got one step closer to that goal after six search warrants since last Friday netted more than $620,000 in recovered stolen property and resulted in the arrest of two people, Sheriff Thomas Kerss said.
"We have been able to tie this particular group of items and activities with related thefts that go back into last year, reaching all the way down to Gonzales," he said. "By the search warrant activity we ran Tuesday and Wednesday, we have extended it into western Louisiana, as well."
