Yesterday Texas Forest Service responded to 10 fires for 22,432 acres.
Today the Texas Forest Service responded to 8 new calls for assistance from local fire departments.
New Fires:
Tom Green County, Encino Fire - 3,000 acres; lightning caused; 100% contained. .
Reagan County, Bird Lane Fire - Lightning caused; unknown on acreage.
Coke County, Wildcat Fire - Located 4 miles S of Eldorado; 540 acres; 50% contained.
Kent County, Cooper Mountain Ranch Fire - Located 14 miles south of Clairemont; 200 acres; 0% containment; TFS resources making progress.
Garza County, Austin fire - 50 acres; fire is contained.
Terrell County, Cannon Fire - Lightning caused, no further information.
Crockett County, Sutton Fire - Lightning caused; no further information.
Harrison County, 2 acres burned; controlled.

Trans-Pecos Complex - Combined Fires consisting of the Roper fire in Brewster County, Hickman fire in Midland County, and the Rock House fire in Presidio County.
*Brewster County, Roper Fire - Located 5 miles NE of Alpine. 25,000 acres. 0% contained.
*Midland County, Hickman Fire - 16,500 acres; 98% contained.
*Presidio County, Rock House - 80,000 acres; 0% contained TFS resources remain on scene, as well as local and state resources.
Angelina County, #231 - 129 acres; 100% contained; 11 structures threatened; 1 camper lost.
Polk County, #234 - 7 acres; contained.
Eastland/Stephens/Palo Pinto Counties, Hohertz Fire - 2,100 acres; located 9 miles NW of Strawn; 100% contained.
Garza/Grosby Counties, Killough - 35,484 acres; 90% contained. .
Stonewall/Knox/King Counties, Swenson Fire - 103,384 acres; 80% contained. TFS resources remain on scene; making good progress.
Terrell County, Sanderson - 3,595 acres; 100% contained.
Rusk County, #101 - 2 acres; controlled.
