Media reports: TSA to allow knives and golf clubs back on airplanes

Tuesday, March 5, 2013 - 1:16pm

According to Bloomberg Business Week, the TSA will allow small pocket knives on airplanes for the first time since the September 11 attacks.

Passengers will also be allowed to carry on sticks used to play lacrosse, billiards and hockey, ski poles and as many as two golf clubs.

The agency is attempting to weed out items that have been confiscated in the past, that do not pose a security risk, mainly sporting goods.
