Media reports are reporting that the search for a missing Jasper man has ended after authorities discovered his body.

According to Beaumont new station reporpts, Jasper District 1 City Councilman, Alton Scott, has confirmed that the body of Alfred Wright, 28, of Jasper, has been located north of Highway 87 near Coussans Road in the same area where he was believed to have gone missing.

Authorities say he was found about 200 years northwest of the second cattle guard wearing only his underwear, a sock, a shoe, and had his cell phone in his sock.

Scott says he is unsure as to whether there were signs of foul play and would not say as to the cause of death.

Wrigh was last last seen on November 7, 2013 at a store in Hemphill.

The parents of Wright were told by his wife to go to the store to pick him up and when they went to the store, he was not there.

They say they found a trail of his clothes, his scrubs, and a sock near that same area.
