RUSK COUNTY — On Monday, May 30, 2011, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Rusk County deputies responded to a welfare concern and arrested 39-year-old Bradley Dale Koonce.

Koonce is charged with assault, endangerment of a child, and resisting arrest. Other charges may possibly be filed. His bond is set at $40,000.

A protective order has been filed against Koonce. He remains in the Rusk County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing

Sheriff Danny R. Pirtle stated this is the result of good training and observation by deputies which assisted in being able to do a professional job. In addition, their response helped save a victim of family violence, removed the perpetrator from the community, and helped a child from being injured.
