Man robs Express Stop gas station at gunpoint

A man robbed the Express Stop gas station on 1204 West Gentry Tuesday night at 9:28 p.m.

Officers arrived on scene and began investigating.

The suspect in this case entered the store, Express Stop, produced a black revolver and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled westbound from the store.  The clerk was not injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a mask, a white and black horizontally striped shirt and pants that fall to just above the suspect’s ankles. The suspect was described as having a bushy afro.

Tyler Officer Steve Black and his canine partner Paco responded to the scene and attempted to track the suspect from the scene.

Other officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
