Lufkin, Diboll authorities searching for motorcycle driver who led police on high speed chase
Lufkin, Texas (FOX51) — The Lufkin and Diboll Police Departments are seeking the identity of a motorcycle driver who led officials on a high-speed chase Thursday night.
According to the Lufkin Police Department, a man driving a green and white motorcycle had been involved in a chase with the Diboll Police Department around 9:40 p.m., Thursday night on US 59. When the driver had eluded Diboll officers, he was spotted by a Lufkin official who also began to chase him near the intersection of Whitehouse and South Chestnut Street. The driver of the motorcycle then drove on Whitehouse Drive and turned north on Tulane Drive before leading the Lufkin officer west on South Medford frontage road then south on Farm to Market Road 58.
After six or seven minutes, the officer terminated the chase and the motorcycle was found shortly after, abandoned on at the intersection FM 2108 and FM 58.
David Casper with the Lufkin Police Department tells KETK the driver is not known at this time but the owner of the motorcycle is Ryan Redard, 25.
