Lufkin council OKs downtown jazz club

Council gives "thumbs-up" to special use permit

Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; the city council conducted a public hearing and approved the second reading of a special use permit request for an indoor commercial recreation and entertainment business at 122 S. First St., in the downstairs portion of the building.

The space will be used for live entertainment and studio space, according to city officials, and the concentration of the entertainment is live jazz music performances. To read more on the council's meeting; head to The Lufkin Daily News website:
