Lufkin authorities searching for fugitive

Lufkin — Lufkin Police Department and the City of Lufkin Municipal Court hold outstanding warrants for the arrest of Elroy Edwards Jr. Lufkin PD holds a First Degree Felony warrant for Edward’s for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a Class A Misdemeanor warrant for the offense of Failure to Identify (Fugitive from Justice). Lufkin Municipal Court holds Misdemeanor arrest warrants for Edwards for traffic and drug-related offenses.

The felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance warrant was issued following an undercover Lufkin PD narcotics investigation during which Elroy Edwards Jr. sold approximately nine grams of crack cocaine.

Elroy Edwards Jr. is a 50-year-old, black male who stands approximately 6’03” tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. During his last encounter with law enforcement officers, Edwards was driving a grey Ford pickup truck and identified himself using a family member’s first name, “Robert”.
