On April 3 officers were called to an accident on the 2900 block of Fourth Street.

When police arrived on scene, they found two vehicles that had collided head-on. Officers determined that a car driven by 46-year-old Jackquine Bell, of Longview, crossed both lanes of traffic before colliding with a truck driven by 47-year-old Miguel Rodriguez-Munoz of Longview. Both the drivers and the passengers were taken to local hospitals with injuries.

On Saturday the passenger in the Munoz vehicle, 47 year-old Silvia Rodriguez-Munoz, died from injuries.

Bell has been charged with driving wrong side of the roadway, no insurance and no drivers license. An intoxication manslaughter charge may also be filed pending the results of blood tests.
