Longview man accused of stabbing wife seven times

A Longview man is in the Gregg County Jail after brutally stabbing his wife seven times Sunday night.

Officials took Levi Lee Duby, 30, into custody just a few blocks away from the scene, located in the 1200 block of Blue Ridge Parkway. Authorities also found marijuana on him.

Police tell KETK Duby stabbed his common law wife seven times with a knife, then ran from the scene. His wife survived the stabbing, but is currently hospitalized following emergency surgery. It is unclear why he stabbed her.

Duby is currently in the Gregg County Jail and is charged with family violence with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana. His bonds total $55,500.
