UPDATE: All I-20 lanes re-opened after hazardous chemical spilled

SMITH COUNTY — According to Smith County DPS, all I-20 lanes have re-opened.   Westbound lanes of I-20 have reopened, however, Eastbound traffic is still reduced to one lane.

Longview fire ruled arson; Officials questioning suspect

Longview Fire officials say they have ruled the fire at 110 Edgefield as arson. They say they have a credible witness, and after an investigation there was enough evidence to prove the fire was intentionally set from the outside.

UPDATE: Blaze destroys mobile home

SMITH COUNTY — Firefighters were able to contain the fire, but not before the mobile home was destroyed. The fire was caused by a space heater.  

Tyler Firefighters contain house fire to one room

TYLER — The Tyler Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2410 Old Omen road. The initial caller said there was smoke coming from the house and was received at 09:30 a.m.

Wood County man dies in early morning rollover

WOOD COUNTY — Wood County DPS reports that a man was killed in a rollover about 14 miles south of Winnsboro early Wednesday morning.
