A Smith County sheriff's deputy's son has been indicted on charges of criminally negligent homicide and failure to stop and render aid in the December 2011 hit-and-run death of a 50-year-old Tyler man.

UPDATE: Vacant mobile home destroyed in fire

Officials tell Fox 51 the mobile home was vacant at the time of the fire. The home was destroyed and investigators are unsure at this time what caused the fire. No injuries were reported.
