Smith county — Smith county officials tell KETK the child is ok and recieved no major injuries. They tell us the child was bit by a small dog.

Down power lines block Tyler road

Tyler police are currently working power lines that are down after being hit by a Suburban. Police have the roads block on the 700 block of Britton in Tyler. There were no injuries reported.

UPDATE: Smoke in Tyler area is result of controlled burn

Tyler — KFXK has received multiple reports of thick black smoke in the south Tyler area this afternoon. Bullard fire officials say the smoke originates from a 2,500 acre controlled burn by the Texas Forest Service.
