Energy company responds to gas line explosion in Panola Co.

Gary, Tx — MarkWest Energy Partners released the following statement in regard to the gas line explosion in Panola County:

A San Jaun, Texas woman faces a minimum 10 years in prison for dealing cocaine in East Texas. Annette Alvarez, 39, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Panola County officials say there were no injuries in a gas line explosion near Gary, Texas that shook some homes just before dawn.

Power Outages

Oncor officials tell KFXK that as of 10:00 p.m there are still 900 people without power. Those outages are mainly in Tyler and Whitehouse.

Update: Major wreck blocking three lanes on Old Jacksonville Highway

Tyler — At this time, one northbound lane has been converted to a southbound lane, and the other northbound lane is open. Both southbound lanes and the median are closed.

Gregg County — According to his family, Jimmy Mitchell, 68, is still in ICU, listed in critical condition as of 8:00 am Tuesday morning.

NPD: Magazine sales scam in Nacogdoches

Authorities are warning Nacogdoches residents of a credit card scam involving magazine sales. The Nacogdoches Police Department has received several calls in reference to the scam.

Update: Victim of beating, kidnapping identified

The victim of this kidnapping has been identified by Nacogdoches authorities as Houston resident John Todd, 19. A motive for the kidnapping has not been determined.
