The Smith County Commissioners Court approved a 2013 Budget today that will decrease the tax rate while maintaining the same level of county services for citizens.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Catarino Perez, 56, of Diboll. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the logging truck, Jerome Bryant, 37, was not injured.
