Multiple crews responding to food plant fire

Multiple crews are currently working on putting out a fire at a food plant just North of Tyler. Smith County officials tell us a transformer caught fire early Sunday night at the John Souls food plan on FM 14.

Arp grass fire does little damage

UPDATE-Our sister station KETK has crews on scene saying the fire has been put out. They are being told about 4 acres of grass was on fire.

Palestine police searching for alleged armed robber

On January 5, 2013 at approximately 8:15 officers from the Palestine Police Department were dispatched to the Family Dollar Store located in the 300 block of East Spring Street in reference to an armed robbery.

Update: Man accused of hanging donkeys pleads guilty

The Upshur County District Attorney's office tells KETK, Anthony George Bassler has plead guilty to cruelty to livestock, and faces 18 months in prison. He has also waived his right to appeal.
