Yesterday Texas Forest Service responded to12 fires for 16,892 acres. Today the Texas Forest Service responded to seven new calls for assistance from local fire departments. New Fires:

Multiple fire departments battle barn fire near Troup

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Cherokee County firefighters are currently battling a barn fire near the city of Troup. Fire officials say the building is located at County Roads 4239 and 4224.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt scheduled April 21

TYLER — The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will host the 10th annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 21 at Lindsey Park, located at 12557 Spur 364 West.

Semi overturned in Tyler

Tyler, TX — A KFXK photographer says traffic is backed up at the intersection, but is still moving. Officials say the semi flipped while making a turn; witnesses say the driver was going too fast .

More than 4,600 pounds of marijuana found in Mt. Pleasant drug bust

Woman identified in Sunday's fatal wreck

TYLER — From Tyler Police: The driver who died in last night’s crash is identified as Geneva Davis Townsend, age 89, from Tyler who is a retired school teacher.
