UPDATE- One person has been taken to a local hospital with what officials are calling non-life threatening injuries. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

Former Mineola teacher sentenced to 180 days in Wood County Jail

WOOD COUNTY — A KFXK reporter in the Quitman courthouse says former Mineola teacher JoAnn Stephens has been sentenced to 180 days in the Wood County Jail.

TEXAS — TAKS tests are back, and so is the stress. Fifth and eight grade Texas students started taking math TAKS tests Monday. Students have been taking these tests for eight years, but this is the last wave of them.

Update: Tyler Police report they are getting ready to open roads back up. The street department is working on clearing up trees and powerlines. There is a house with a tree on it located at 2600 Cecil in Tyler.

Tornado alarms sound in Lindale
