Kilgore police arrest man for aggravated assault with knife

KILGORE — On Monday, April 18, 2011, at approximately 2:00 a.m. the Kilgore Police Department responded to the area of R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium in regards to a person suffering from stab wounds.

UPDATE: Tucker Strickland began to get violent after his hearing at the Bowie County Courthouse. Police tell Fox 33 that Tucker got upset, and started arguing with Deputy Sherri Jones.

Police find dead body on Erwin St., name not yet released

TYLER — Tyler police say they received a report of man bleeding, laying on the sidewalk at West Erwin and Bruck at around 6 a.m. Friday. When police and EMS arrived on scene, the man was declared dead.

Hwy 271 house fire

Fire officials have contained a house fire off of highway 271. Officials tell us a candle in the living room started the fire. The only damage done to the house was in the living room. No one was hurt.
