COOKVILLE — Staff Sgt. Chauncy R. Mays, 25, of Cookville, TX, was killed on February 28th while fighting for his country in Operation Enduring Freedom.

He was serving in the Wardak province of Afghanistan when enemy forces attacked their unit with explosivces.

The Department of Defense posted the list of casualties on their website yesterday.
