Longview, Texas — On November 21, 2012 at 6:52 p.m., officers were called to an accident with injuries in the 1900 block of Lee Street in Longview.

When officers arrived, witnesses said they heard a loud noise, came outside, and saw a black male, later identified as Lynden Alexander Bell 24, of Longview, lying in a ditch.

Officers determined Bell had been walking North on Lee Street when a white 2011 Jeep Wrangler driven by 34 year-old Sarah Emily Reeves crossed over the center line and struck Bell, throwing him into the ditch. Reeves was arrested for DWI and provided a blood sample for testing.

Bell was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
