Kilgore, Texas (Longview News-Journal) —
Kilgore ISD officials are set to discuss a couple land issues during today’s regular meeting, beginning at 6 p.m. in the administration building, 301 N. Kilgore Street.
The first is the possible sale of about 7 acres known as the Elder School Property. The board will vote on whether the land is surplus property, no longer needed for school purposes.
The board also will hear the results of a Railroad Commission report concerning a potential sinkhole behind the Credit Recovery Center on North Longview Street, across the street from Kilgore High School.
Railroad Commission officials recommended Sept. 12 that the district close the area that is about 12 square-feet in size as a precaution.
