Leo Daniel Harber, the step-grandfather of Jacob Kimbley, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, according to the Smith County Judicial website.

Harber, who is a registered sex offender, was arrested last month for violation of his probation when guns were found in his house.

Judge Kerry Russell sentenced the 73-year-old to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, the maximum sentence available. He is afforded the right to appeal the ruling within 30 days.

Kimbley is the child who was found dead in a septic tank last month. His parents were arrested on August 29 for child endangerment.

In the most recent developments, Kimbley's parents have also been denied visitation rights to the five other children.

Authorities are still awaiting autopsy results.
