Gladewater, TX — One man was injured during a schooll bus involved crash in Upshur County Thursday afternoon.
At around 4:15 p.m., state troopers and deputies were called to a wreck at the intersection of Highway 80 and Pear Road near the city of Gladewater, according to the Upshur County Sheriff's Office.
The Gladewater Police Department tells KETK an ice cream truck headed east on Highway 80 hit a Big Sandy school bus from behind as it was attempting to turn left onto Pear Road. The "jaws of life" were used to pull the truck's driver out. He was taken to a Longview hospital and his condition is unknown.
A 6-year-old was on the bus at the time of the accident, but was not hurt in the crash.
Authorities will continue to investigate this wreck.
