Hundreds attend Women of Red luncheon: Event brings awareness to heart disease

A sea of red dresses, hats, shirts and shoes swarmed the Pitser Garrison Civic Center Thursday for the annual Women in Red luncheon, hosted by Woodland Heights Medical Center.

This year’s event welcomed keynote speakers Dr. Ravinder Bachireddy, founder of the Heart Institute of East Texas, and Linda Armstrong Kelly, mother of seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong.
