Holiday financial blues

With many stores using lay-a-way plans, and buyers using credit cards to pay for presents, Christmas can seem to follow you on past through the new year.

And while some during this time feel depressed about not being with their families, many others have their holiday season ruined by bills.

So if you have already gotten yourself into a budget bind, how is the best way to keep your sanity, and calm down?

" They did some credit buying perhaps. But a lot of people are guilty of that. Developing a plan and taking it a day at a time and not getting in a hurry about fixing it. Can't do anything about it quickly," Dr. Stephen Westmoreland of the Loughmiller Institute in Tyler said.
