Downtown Henderson is growing, with new businesses and renovations up and down main street.
So Saturday was a chance for the area to show the rest of East Texas what they may have been missing.
The Down Home Cloggers, a dance group based out of Longview, as well as the Rusk County Dalcimers entertained the crowd, as people walked the sidewalks, enjoying some East Texas art work, as well as the famous Henderson crape myrtles.
But across town, at the Rusk County Airport, they held a fly-in where local pilots got a chance to show off their planes, and fly them over downtown.
The day was packed full, and organizers hope the rest of East Texas will take note.
