Henderson, Tx (Fox 51) — The Henderson City Council voted unanimously Thursday to accept the resignation of City Manager Mike Barrow pending execution of a settlement agreement.
Barrow, a city employee since 2000, has been city manager since May 2010.
The reason for his resignation remained unclear Thursday evening. It was announced at a special meeting called to “deliberate the evaluation, discipline or possible dismissal of the city manager and the possible appointment of an interim city manager,” according to the agenda.
Barrow declined to comment Thursday about his resignation.
Mayor Pat Brack said she thought Barrow had been doing a good job, but that she must abide by the council’s vote. She was a council member when he was promoted to city manager and voted in favor of the move.
