From the Longview News-Journal:
The Hallsville ISD school board on Monday unanimously named a former superintendent as the district's interim chief.
Jim Dunlap, who served as Hallsville ISD superintendent from 1994-2003, will serve as the interim superintendent until the district makes a permanent hire.
“It is truly an honor for the board to grant this privilege of returning to help during this difficult time,” Dunlap said.
“Decades ago, Hallsville ISD earned and has continually lived up to a well-deserved reputation for academic excellence. Current staff members have added a new distinction in the remarkable story of Hallsville schools and everyone is proud of that exemplary rating. Nothing can discount the hard work of all the staff and students who made that happen.”
