Corrigan, Texas (KETK) — Three employees at the Georgia-Pacific paper mill, who were injured Saturday evening in the explosion have been treated and released from the hospital according to a Georgia-Pacific spokesman. Four others were injured and their conditions are still unknown.
Georgia-Pacific is assisting family members of those employees injured, with temporary accommodations.
Georgia-Pacific says the the safety measures worked as they were supposed to, but the employees proximity to the blaze was a factor in their injuries. GP has shut down the Corrigan mill, they are unsure when they will re-open.
