Tyler — East Texas law enforcement officers have arrested the husband of a Georgia lawyer who is accused of shooting his wife eight times, including three times in the head.
Michael Parson was arrested by DPS troopers in Van Zandt County just before midnight Saturday during a traffic stop. Parson was wanted on arrest warrants from Sandy Springs, Georgia, where he is accused of shooting his wife, Adina, eight times on April 20. Parsons disappeared after her shooting, and was arrested while driving the couple's green 2000 Honda Civic.
According to the Sandy Springs, GA., police department, Parson will be charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and giving false statements in writing concealing the facts of a felony. He is currently being held in the Van Zandt County Jail, where he will remain until he is extradited back to Georgia.
Adina Parson is still hospitalized in Georgia in critical condition. She has been unable to speak with investigators. A motive for her shooting has not been established.
