Paris, Texas (FOX 51) — Four people were found dead late Wednesday night after the Paris Police Department received a call for help from a woman who reported someone was bleeding. It happened at a home on the 400 block of NE 6th Street.
According to the Paris Police Department, multiple emergency crews, including police officers, arrived at the scene around 11:30. When authorities entered the house, they found four people in the front room with apparent gunshot wounds.
As of this time, there are no known witnesses to the shooting. Detectives have learned that at least two other men were at the home at some point during the evening. Both were interviewed and one man was arrested on unrelated charges.
After relatives were notified, officials identified the victims as:
Romello Dewain Steward, 18, of Paris
Davante Larry Atkins, 21, of Paris
Brijonne Rashad Woods, 24, of Paris
Billy Charles Carey, 32, of Garland
The Paris Police Department worked in conjunction with the Texas Rangers through the night processing the crime scene. Authorities cleared the area shortly after 8:00 a.m.
The investigation has not ruled out any form of murder or suicide.
