Tyler, TX — A retired Tyler dentist accused of killing his wife will appear before a Judge Kerry L. Russell in the 7th District Court on November 26.
Dr. Bobby Ray Nichols, 76, of Tyler, is accused of shooting his wife of 26 years, Rosiland Nichols, 71, back on June 29.
Nichols claimed at the time of the shooting he couldn't recall what happened when she died, according to the Tyler Police Department.
Investigators were able to determine at around 5:00 p.m., Dr. Nichols arrived at his home on Allen Street. After a short while, Nichols and his wife began to argue, and a little later, he went out to his vehicle to get his gun and went back into the house. The argument continued and Dr. Nichols shot Rosiland Nichols twice.
Nichols was released July 3 on a $750,000 surety bond. He is charged with murder, a first degree felony.
