Five people robbed at gunpoint in Tyler park

Five men were allegedly robbed at gunpoint in a Tyler park late Wednesday evening.

It happened at City Park on North Broadway and Queen St., just after 10:00pm.


That's where two hispanic males and three hispanic females were playing basketball when they were allegedly approached by three or four black males wearing grey hoodies.
One of the men had a hangun, and fired it as they approached the five people playing basketball. One of them was shot in the neck, and the group was robbed.

The robbers then left the seen heading north.
Police searched the area, but the men were not found.

The victim who was shot was treated for the gunshot wound at a local hospital, and is expected to be okay.

The robbers were described as young, thin black males about 5'8'' to 6' tall, weighing around 150-180 lbs.
