SMITH COUNTY — The plow is now on scene of the forest fire.

Officials say there is one house near the fire, but there is no other immediate danger.

Firefighters are battling a forest fire at 14502 F.M. 850 in Smith County.

KFXK has a crew on the scene.

Officials tell us about 5-10 acres are burning, and with the high winds the fire will move fast.

Firefighters have to wait for a plow to assist with the fire, since it is so deep into the forest.
