KETK's news partner The Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel reports, about 500 bales of hay were destroyed during a fire on Sunday.

It happened on County Road 233 east of Nacogdoches.

Fire officials say a barn filled with hay caught fire and they were unable to put it out.

No one was injured, but a litter of puppies living in the hay died.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
