Fatal Sunday morning wreck in Lindale

At approximately 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Smith County DPS was notified of a one-vehicle crash on CR 4119, north of Lindale. The vehicle involved is a 2010 Kia driven by 25-year-old Braxton Boone of Lindale. Passengers in the vehicle were identified as Karrie Voyles and Jasmine Pruitt both 14 years of age from Lindale. All three passengers were killed.

Troopers investigating the scene believe the driver of the Kia was traveling northbound on CR 4119 at an unsafe speed, when it veered of the roadway to the left striking several trees. The driver and passengers were unrestrained and there were indicators that alcohol may be a contributing factor that led to the crash.

A wreck in Lindale this morning claims the life of three passengers.

It happened on County Road 4119 just north of Lindale.

According to authorities, all three occupants were killed when their vehicle struck a group of trees on the side of the road.

Officials say it looked like none of the passengers in the car were wearing seat belts and alcohol may have been a factor in the wreck.
