Family of 6 loses home in Hudson fire
A Hudson family of six lost everything in a morning mobile home fire off Highway 103 west.
Skip Elliot and his family — girlfriend Holly Farkus and girls ages 1, 9, 12, and 14 — now have only the clothes on their backs and what few items they and their neighbors could pull from the charred remains of the home off Woodlawn Circle.
The Hudson Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze that broke out around 8 a.m. Wednesday, arriving on the scene to see the home fully engulfed in flames, according to firefighter Chris Smith. Elliot and Farkus were home with the baby when the fire started but made it out safely. The older children were at school, Farkus said.
